WYNNUM WIPEOUT 2024 – CANCELLATION
Hi,
With a heavy heart we must confirm the cancellation of Wynnum Wipeout 2024.
The logistics around trying to move at such short notice and the impacts to what we could and could not run do not make it possible.
We are so sorry to have to cancel this close to go day but sadly have no better option.
We are coordinating with Scripture Union for anyone who has booked to get refunded and will update you with that process via email as soon as it is confirmed. They may take a few days (work days) to appear back in accounts at your end.
Thank you to everyone who was planning to come and we are encouraged to believe that we will see you in 2025.

The 2024 Activities Grid!!
Reduced Program
We are super excited to be bringing Wynnum Wipeout back in 2024. As we have not been able to run for the last couple of years, a lot has changed for people and because of that we have a smaller pool of leaders available.
As such we have had to reduce our activity offer for 2024 as we rebuild the program.
The leaders on the program are all volunteers from local churches who also pay a fee to attend for the week. We thank them for their support this week.
PLEASE PROVIDE LUNCH FOR YOUR CHILD. Lunches will not be available for purchase at Wipeout.
Please note when booking, some activities may not be available due to capacity or cancellation. Some activities may be cancelled at short notice.

ACTIVITY NOTES:
Cost is per session – for example a Console games & Chill Zone will be available in the morning and afternoon (AM&PM) each day. Each session costs $5. To do it twice in one day would cost $10.
ICESKATING– Please bring a jumper and extra socks. Remember those boots make blisters. (canteen on site)
MOVIES PLUS – travel to Southbank for this activity will be via the train again. Cost covers train fare and movie. Your child may need to have a facemask depending on covid rules at the time.
SAILING – Participants need to provide their own lunch and snacks for this activity. Sunscreen, hat and water bottle also recommended.
The session will have kids doing some time on the sail boat and some time on kayaks.
WET & WILD: We allow participants to make their way around the park in small groups of their own. We will match your child to a leader for the day if desired.
Annual pass holders only need to pay for the transport fee.
Participants need to provide their own lunch or money to purchase on site.
We do everything we can to protect participants belongings such as have a leader sit with everyone’s bags all day but can not be responsible for anything that goes missing. Please do not bring anything valuable.
As an extra layer of support, wallets are put in ziplock bags with id number and name written on it and kept in a seperate container next to the leader. Participants must show their wrist band with ID and Name to be given their ziplock bag.
This is the only day that runs longer – The bus will return to Wynnum High at 6pm.
SCAVENGER HUNT & POOL PARTY: This will be an activity done in small groups with a leader assigned to each group.
Items will be collected on a walk from our base at Wynnum High, through Wynnum and end on site at Wynnum State School.
It will involve taking photos of local icons, in front of local businesses or photos of physical actions (eg make a human pyramid of at least 3 people in your group in front of the wading pool and take a photo)
Afternoon pick up will be from Wynnum State School, 81 Boxgrove Ave, Wynnum QLD 4178
Lunch can be purchased from venues at the following activities:
Movies Plus – Southbank
Ice skating – Canteen on site
Ten Pin Bowling – Canteen on site
